I had a 45 minute back, shoulders and neck massage by Nikita. Absolutley amazing, so relaxing. Nikita was so welcoming and profesional, I'd highly highly reccomend.

If you enjoy a very good deep tissue massage I recommend Alessia. She is amazingly strong and intuitive. Probably the best massage I ever had. Also a very calming space.

I found out about Blue Frog Therapies via. Hot Pod Yoga York's social media stories and subsequently booked myself in for the "Back, Neck And Shoulder Massage With A Holistic Facial and scalp massage (90 minute session)" with Alessia.

Upon arrival, Alessia identified that it was my first time coming to this business, as well as my first "proper" body massage so we sat down and spoke about my reasons why I booked (high stress life/work resulting in my carrying tension in my body). Alessia also asked questions such as how much pressure I'd prefer to be applied, any allergies I had, what my skincare routine was, and spoke about the process/order of what to expect during the appointment.

Alessia is professional, friendly, approachable, and clearly knows exactly what she is doing. She provided me with the privacy and dignity to undress and dress accordingly, using a button to press once I was ready for Alessia to return into the room. I felt safe in her hands throughout and knew I could communicate my preferences throughout, however I didn't need to as my preferences and answers that I'd given pre-massage had been listened to and considered throughout.

I've also never had a facial or scalp massage and I cannot believe I've never had one sooner! Alessia took great care in identifying what skin type(s) I had and adjusting the products to be used accordingly. I nearly fell asleep on several occasions due to Alessia's deep but sensitive touch. Afterwards, my skin was so soft and hydrated, it had never felt like that before!

After the session was done, Alessia provided me with a cup of water and we sat and chatted about the various massages that she had performed, and her opinion on the high tension areas in my body, the areas that she had placed more focus on, and after-care.
Alessia advised me on how best to look after myself in the following 24-48 hours after the massage, and also highlighted areas of the skin on my face that appeared red to her, and recommended applying SPF daily.

I also asked Alessia about maintenance massages how often I should book future massages, and what types of massages I should consider booking, of which she provided an answer which I felt was genuine and impartial.

I highly recommend the services that Alessia provides, especially the facial, as this surprised me with how much I loved it!
